… Apart from our own in-house Yoga, QiGong and Feldenkrais classes, additional fitness sessions for seniors are available in town:

  • Gwyneth Roland’s seniors fitness class – held on Mondays, 9.30 – 10.45 at The Railway Halls, 40 – 42 McNamara St., Manunda, at a cost of $10. This class includes elements of hand weights / cardio exercise to music / Qi Gong and Yoga in chairs. The tutor is a highly experienced teacher and is happy to accept new students.   • Steady Steps – a falls prevention program aimed at seniors. Its focus is on vitality, functional movement, strength, balance, and coordination. This class will keep your body moving at its best, and having fun at the same time, on Fridays, 10.30 – 11.15 am at Fit360, 2/232 Mulgrave Road, Cairns, phone 1300 34 83 60. The first class is free.
