Weekly – every Tuesday, 11 am – 1 pm, on the veranda at Port Douglas Library.
This class commences on 4 May until 22 June and is currently full. Another class will run from 13 July until 14 September.
The Learn to Draw course aims to equip participants with the skills, knowledge and confidence to draw while developing their creativity. The course will start with learning about the basics such as shade, tone, texture, perspective, composition, positive and negative space while linking these concepts to artist practice. It has been proved that learning to draw and sketch improves creativity, memory and decreases stress. No experience required. Students are requested to help set up and pack up tables and chairs.
Students will need to bring the following:
- Sketch book (cartridge paper) A4
- 2B, 4B and 6B pencils
- Glue stick
Course work will be posted on Showbie, a free app available for any digital device (phone, iPad or computer) – desirable but not essential.
