Tai Chi for Memory and Qi Gong for Beginners (Douglas Branch)
Wednesdays 11 am – 12pm. At Four Mile Beach Park, corner of Barrier and Reef street, Port Douglas.
Tai Chi for memory is an ancient Chinese art that improves both physical and mental health. The exercises influence body and mind and improve overall wellbeing. We will follow Dr Lam’s teachings, they are simplified, easy to learn and very enjoyable.
Qi Gong is equally ancient but pays more attention to the inner workings of the body: the organs. The lungs and breathing are essential here.
The only thing you will need is a water bottle – with water. It is important to drink during the short intervals.
# If you are a bit unbalanced or had an operation on knees, hips, please come with a chair. Tai Chi seated is just as enjoyable. It also helps with healing, before as well as after an operation.
