After explaining that we are not doing ‘calligraphy’ (!) the basics and use of the English language, particularly in the ‘written’ form, will be demonstrated showing examples of such and by completing short exercises in class. These will be shared and discussed briefly, and we will be able to observe the growth and ‘creativity’ in each as the weeks go by…. hence, obviously, “Creative Writing”.
Basic terms in grammar (e.g. noun, pronoun) will be learnt.
Punctuation, words, word opposites (e. g. objective, subjective), difference between ‘essays’ and ‘short stories’, terms used in grammar (e.g. onomatopeia, iambic pentameter), etc. etc. will be demonstrated.
Homework on given topic will be set each week.
Only a pen and paper are required.
